Behavioral Health Professional – Master’s Level

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Contractual


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  1. Face-to-face meetings with the client.
  2. Face-to-face meeting with the client’s significant others’ collateral contacts (telephone, face to face, and/or written correspondence) with prior service providers and other systems (e.g., social services, corrections, schools, etc.) who are involved with the client.
  3. Interviews with individuals who have directly observed the client’s functioning and behaviors in his/her natural environment (home, school, work, community).
  4. Assumes the roles of advocate, broker, coordinator, and monitor of the service delivery system on behalf of the client.
  5. Contributing to and/or drafting treatment plan updates for review and approval by an LMHP, in conjunction with the clinical management team.
  6. Contributing to the development of measurable goals, objectives, and strategies in the treatment plan, which can be achieved within the timeframes stated.
  7. Coordinates and manages services by:
    • Providing oversight for the integrated implementation of goals, objectives, and strategies identified in the client’s treatment plan.
    • Assuring measurable goals are met within the established time frame.
    • Assuring all service activities include collaborative consultation and guidance to other staff services, the client and family, as prescribed.
  8. Assuring interagency coordination, which may include education, DCFS, and OJJ. For example, a youth who is at risk of entering the juvenile justice system may need a referral/coordination with the FINS (Family in Need of Supervision) program.
  9. Coordination of Care – Engaging in collateral consultation with other individuals (family members, significant others, and professionals) who are actively involved in the client’s care.
  10. Individual intervention, group (must have a minimum of one year of documented experience providing services in a group setting), and family counseling.
  11. Meet with LMHP for supervision, as required (See Non-licensed Supervision Agreement).
  12. Participate in training required by the agency for licensure.
  13. Provide the business office with all required documentation of personnel records.
  14. Enter Progress notes into the EHR System within 72 hours of session.
  15. Billable Requirement: 32hrs weekly (Full-Time) or 20hrs weekly (Part-Time).
Behavioral Health Professional – Bachelor’s Level

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Contractual


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  1. Face-to-face meetings with the client.
  2. Face-to-face meeting with the client’s significant others’ collateral contacts (telephone, face to face, and/or written correspondence) with prior service providers and other systems (e.g., social services, corrections, schools, etc.) who are involved with the client.
  3. Provide one-to-one assistance to children/adolescents with behavior disorders in the school, home, and community setting based on the medical needs of the client.
  4. Prompt interventions in the areas of behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and peer interaction skills.
  5. Collaborate with Qualified Mental Health Professionals to carry out treatment plans for clients.
  6. Ability to work well in crisis situations.
  7. Use of appropriate social skills, including demonstration of compassion and respect for staff and clients.
  8. Ability to maintain information as highly confidential.
  9. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision in this regard.

Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)

Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Temporary, Contract, Other


RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide CPST and/or PSR, and Crisis services to all clients assigned to your caseload in accordance with Medicaid, agency, and clinical standards.
  2. Complete and submit monthly progress summaries for each assigned client, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
  3. Attend monthly Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and actively participate in treatment planning and coordination.
  4. Conduct face-to-face and/or approved telehealth sessions with clients as outlined in their individualized treatment plans.
  5. Engage in collateral contacts with clients’ significant others and involved systems (e.g., social services, corrections, schools, prior service providers) through phone, in-person, or written communication to support integrated care.
  6. Conduct interviews with individuals who directly observe the client’s behavior and functioning in natural environments such as home, school, work, and community settings.
  7. Advocate for clients by fulfilling the roles of advocate, broker, coordinator, and monitor within the service delivery system.
  8. Ensure interagency coordination, including collaboration with education systems, DCFS, OJJ, and programs such as FINS when appropriate for client needs.
  9. Provide coordination of care by engaging in collateral consultation with family members, significant others, and professionals actively involved in the client’s treatment.
  10. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling; group counseling requires a minimum of one year of documented experience providing services in a group setting.
  11. Serve as team leader to support the LMHP in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  12. Submit required personnel documentation to the Business Office in accordance with agency policy.
  13. Enter all progress notes into the EHR System within 48 hours of the completed service.
